When the world around us was in a state of despair last year, The Pine Cone Review was born. 9 months after its inception, we are excitedly presenting our second issue.
We have grown as human beings and as artists. From established to emerging writers/artists, we find ourselves filled with gratitude to be able to showcase a total of 45 creative souls in this issue.
Evi Acko-Ponhold, a talented zentangle-inspired artist, based in Graz, Austria, has graciously created the cover image.
Issue 2 has un-themed poetry, flash fiction and flash creative non-fiction along with translations from Odia, German and Russian. There is an additional section, (W)riting the Pandemic, because our normal will never be the normal of the yesteryears. We also have a special adda with writer, editor and critic Amitava Nag on a theme close to our hearts- brown lives and brown identities.
In each section, the works are arranged according to the alphabetical index of the last name of the writers.

Evi Acko-Ponhold was born in 1968 in Seattle. She was spending her childhood in different places in Austria until she found her central living point and partner in Graz, where she became mother of two wonderful daughters, She works in daycare for children where she loves to see the world detailed and magical as children perceive. She works mostly with ink, coloured pencils, watercolours and her beloved papers of various kinds.
Dattatreya Paul is excited by the prospect of beginning primary school this autumn. He loves Lego, rockets and painting. He continues to have the ambition of becoming both a train driver and an architect.
