"What do you do when you want to go home but you're already there" 

I now know why 
even as I sit in my bedroom
 that my heart aches for home. 
My soul has reached a point 
of spiritual ascension 
that nothing on this earth 
will ever feel like home... 
because home is what my soul 
has seen 
in what we all believe 
to have been a dream, 
and you can only get there one way. 
And that way has a gatekeeper, 
and I still don't have the coin 
for passage.

Kasey Dawn Hill (K.H.) has lived in Franklin County, VA for most of her adult life. Spending two years in journalism in high school, and a few articles published in the Franklin News Post, she built much of her young adult life around reading and writing.
